Grand Princess Cruise

Grand Princess Cruise Fun

They are called floating cities and it's easy to see why. The large cruise ships have everything you need on board. The Grand Princess Cruise ship is one of the finest examples and has first class facilities and elegant furnishings. Sailing to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean, passengers can choose from one of approximately 700 staterooms with balconies and mini-suites. Embarkation is from Fort Lauderdale in Florida.

There is a tempting selection of journeys to choose from, including the Caribbean Collection 14 Day Round Trip. This trip has 9 ports of call and includes Aruba, St. Thomas, Antigua, and Barbados. The Western Europe / Transatlantic Grand Princess Cruise lasts for 15 days and calls in at 8 ports, including Dublin, London, Le Havre and finishing at Southampton, England. The Grand Transatlantic Adventure is for 29 days and also finishes at Southampton, calling in at Barcelona, Rome, Naples, Corsica, and Gibraltar. The Grand Princess Cruise has two sister ships, The Star Princess and the Golden Princess.

Accommodation is in different categories all the way up to the Grand Suite with Balcony. There, guests will find a large sitting room with fireplace, a deluxe queen mattress, a hot tub and a tub with whirlpool jets, and a walk in closet. Staterooms on the Grand Princess Cruise have 24-hour room service.

Passengers will never be at a loss for something to do as they sail to their destination. They can stroll round the Promenade Deck, see a movie or relax in the Lotus Spa. There are nightclubs, dance clubs, bars and lounges for entertainment and a Sports Bar and Casino. For fitness addicts, the Grand Princess Cruise has 4 swimming pools, a jogging track and sports court and a gym with an ocean view. Golfers can practice on a 9-hole putting course.

The younger generation can have their own fun too in the Child and Teen Centers and there is also a Video Arcade. Other amenities include an art gallery, library, duty free shopping, and Conference Center. Dining is another treat on board the Grand Princess Cruise with 3 dining rooms, and restaurants that include an Italian, a steakhouse, a 24-hour Buffet-Bistro, and a 24-hour Internet Café. There is wheelchair access to the Staterooms and into most of the public areas.

Passengers can even get married on board ship, courtesy of the Wedding Chapel and the ship's Captain, who will perform the ceremony. The company will arrange a wedding package with catering, bouquets, wedding cake, and photography for the wedding party. Alternatively, the bride and groom can tie the knot at an offshore location and have the reception and honeymoon on board. Couples can also have a Renewal of Vows ceremony.

Life on board this ship makes it a vacation in itself and there is the bonus of exotic destinations. Passengers can be active or can enjoy the simple pleasures, such as sipping a cocktail under the stars.
